Your Learning Plan for July 2020 Exams! (1st & 2nd year Students)

Do you have a Learning Plan?

We know that your learning plan and process has been greatly disturbed by recent Corona Outbreak. And your Exams are already waiting for you in the first week of July. So have you sorted out your learning plan according to current academic status? No? Its's alright. We are here to help you to build a practical learning plan that will help you secure good marks in coming Exams.

What to do now?

Well, the very first thing we'll ask you to do is a "Don't". Yes! Don't panic about your incomplete preparation for upcoming Exams. Because by doing that, you will only end up doing so less than your actual potential. You can avail this remaining time to prepare in the best of ways and that's exactly what we are about to discuss here.

Here is a step by step guide to your New Learning Plan:

Remember the 80 - 20 Rule!

All the students not only in Pakistan but all around the globe do their 80% Exam preparation in last 20% time of their academic year. So it should not be something to worry about. It is just another ordinary academic year with reference to your study progress so far. You must have gone through at least 20% of your course up till now, for sure. Hence you just need to start your preparation for the rest of your 80% course. You're going with the same pace as any other student in the world right now. Cheers!

Secure your Prepared Course first
Although you have so much left to learn ahead, but don’t give away your already prepared course for that. You need to grant enough time to your prepared course for a thorough revision and once you have double-checked your past preparation, only then move forward and focus on new topics to study. This will help you gain confidence in your preparation as you would have already secured some granted marks.

Pick up Theory Subjects first

Theory Subjects like English or Pakistan Studies are more likely to be prepared very easily as compared to practical subjects like Physics or Maths, for almost all the students as they require a very little time to build up understanding although this time is compensated on learning these subjects. Whereas for Practical subjects, you will definitely require a teacher or instructor to resolve your problems or help you solve questions. Like Numericals in Physics or Chemistry and Maths questions. So focusing on Theory Subjects first will reduce both your dependency and study load.

Deal with Practical Subjects efficiently

For Engineering or Medical students, Practical subjects might be nightmares as they require a detailed understanding of much complex concepts and laws. But this should not trouble you in any case as you have already gone through a fair portion of your theory subjects and secured it. Now you can do the same with each of your Practical subjects and do a thorough revision of your prepared topics by practicing them more and more.

Prepare a Checklist of Topics

It is a great and practically effective learning plan to learn any subject Topic wise rather than question wise. Because examiner can always improvise over questions that arise from the same Topic. Therefore, for each subject, you need to prepare a checklist of all the Topics which you can instantly access for a quick progress update. This checklist will also prove to be a resource for your disciplined learning plan.

Concentrate on what is more important

To achieve the most effective strategy in your learning plan, you need to blur out every 'not-so-important' part or topic of your course and solely focus on which topic is going to get you most marks or in simple words, which topic in Past Papers is most repeated.
Past Papers on this crucial time play a vital role by helping you in choosing the most important topics for any subject. You can also create a list of Topics according to their priority and frequency in previous examinations.

Above all these learning plans. What matters the most is your Self Trust. Because it is your biggest weapon to get you what you want. Be it Fame, Reputation, Wealth or Good Results! So we would very much encourage you to Trust in Yourself and Hope for the Best!
